India comeback stuns England

England brought the youngest squad to the Champions Trophy looking to build on the Olympic success, while India wanted to put their poor Olympic campaign behind them. India (ranked #11) beat England (ranked#4)catching them on the break as England tried to play a high pressing game which is the first shock result of the tournament. England attacking instinct in the first half was rewarded with a penalty corner which was converted by Richard Smith. First half saw a fast paced game, but as a result there was a lot of turn over ball for both sides. England kept firing the ball across the D with forward players so close to tap ins. India first penalty corner was from turnover ball and Danish Mujtaba fired a low hard flick to Pinner right who saved well with his feet. But Danish Mujtaba was not so wasteful 2nd time and scored diving at the far post making the half time score 1-1. Second half started in the same vein, both sides attacking and coughing up possession. India second goal came from a bit of luck but the finish was sublime. A hopeful hit ball from outside the 23 deflected off Middleton and fell to Yuvraj Walmiki who took it down in mid air on the reverse before poking it under the England keeper to make the score 2 1. India 3rd came from Sandar Singh on a penalty corner with four minutes left. England next game tomorrow is against the Olympic Champions and Number 1 side in the World Germany.
