Amendment Notice June 2011

RE: Higher National specification in Business (First teaching September 2010) amendment to specification Issue 3 of the specification for the Edexcel BTEC Level 4 HNC and HND Diplomas in Business (QCF) qualifications has now been superseded by an Issue 4. The table below shows a summary of the amendments made to the Issue 4 version: Page number Pg 3, 10 Amendment Points 1 and 5 of Edexcel BTEC Level 5 HND in Business have been amended to reinforce that in order to achieve an HND, the requirements of the BTEC Level 4 HNC in Business first have to be met; ie a minimum of 65 credits at Level 4; a maximum of 15 credits at Level 3 and a maximum of 55 credits at Level 5. (For the HND at minimum of 125 and a maximum of 175 credits must be at Level 5.) The sentence under the table showing the Structure of the Edexcel BTEC Level 5 HND in Business (QCF) now states: The Edexcel BTEC Level 5 HND programme must contain a minimum of 125 credits at level 5.
