As with every December 12 starting on 1924, we will be again serenading Our Lady of Guadalupe with the traditional Mexican Mañanitas with a Choir and Mariachi at 9:00 a.m. at her Sanctuary located on 908 Broadway St. (At Mason) in San Francisco. Former Feligreses y Amigos de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe (F.A.N.S. de Guadalupe) Will be hosting this annual event which started on December 12, 1924, when Don Elías Silva made true his promise to bring Las Mañanitas to Our Lady on her Feast day (See A Temple with Much History" by Miss Clementina Garcia Landgrave).A Temple With Much History, Our Lady of Guadalupe Church
La señorita Clementina Garcia Redgrave relates details of the construction of the Temple of Our Lady of Guadalupe in San Francisco, since its construction in 1875 until December 1999, she also gives some details of the struggles to save it from the plans that the Archdiocese of San Francisco has for it and our intent to keep it in perpetuity for, and in the hands of, the Hispanic-Latino-American and other Communities who also love our Lupita.
