Wire Mesh Screen of the Classifier S-2891

Reason for Inspection:

Operation asked to perform the inspection.

Inspection Summary: The screen of the Classier S-2891 found damaged at the one end. Inspection Details: Subjected screen has been inspected and found damage at one end of the screen and replaced with new screen. It is a repetitive failure almost at the same location of the screen.

Damaged area of the wire mesh screen

Recommendations:

1. The damaged area of the screen to be repaired by using metallic strips of the material specification from both side of the screen. 2. For stitch welding find below the attached WPS with this report. 3. The repaired screen can only be used for temporary basis if the new spare is not available. 4. At the next available opportunity, the wire mesh screen must be offered for inspection prior to remove from the equipment to evaluate the actual reasons of repetitive failure.
