WRITING PERSONAL STATEMENT/MOTIVATION LETTER AND RECOMMENDATION LETTER

When you are going to apply for Higher Studies through Scholarship you must consider two most valuable things in your mind. First your Recommendation letter from your teacher should be well written that shows your academic and social qualities. Secondly your personal statement/Motivation letter must also contains useful information.

I have seen some recommendation letters in the hand of Mehran University students that is written by well known professors of Mehran University that worth counts ZERO really. Recommendation letter should have well written information about your academic achievements and plus your behavior with teachers, students and all other staff which means that your social approach. Your ambitions towards higher education and how much research potential you have. I would like to suggest all students of Mehran University when you are going to apply for any scholarship first make draft of Recommendation letter by yourself and then ask your professor to put stamp on it. Do not go with recommendation letters that is already written by teachers and they just make changing of name and give you a copy in minutes.

Motivation Letter/Personal Statement contains information about your past awards, participation's,activities, projects and future academic/research goals. Many of students won't apply for scholarships when they see Motivation Letter is asked by the scholarship authority. One thing should be keep in mind that this letter shows your interest in the program and how much potential you are having to carry well this program and in future. Your past participation in the conferences/quiz programs your projects which is/are matched with the program that you intending to apply and your research interest.
