respectively.

SOLUTION:

a + 4(3) = 4
T9 = a + 8d = 16
a + 12 = 4
a = 4 – 12
T9 = a + 8d = 16 a = -8

T5 = a + 4d = 4
T15 = −8 + (15 − 1)(3)
4d = 12
= −8 + (14)(3)
d =3
= 34
The 5th and 9th of arithmetic progression are 4 and 16
respectively.
