Mixing
Mixing is the process of blending one song seamlessly into another to create a continuous flow of music.
BPM BPM stands for Beats Per Minute the tempo of a song. To figure out the tempo of a song, set the turntable pitch control to the middle (zero point). Count the beats for a full minute. The number you are end up with is the BPM of the song. Cue Cueing up a record is the act of finding the exact start point of a song or sound. Beatmatch To adjust the speeds of two different records so the beats are synchronized (matched). This is the basis for most kinds of mixing.

Beat Juggling
Beat Juggling is the process of combining bits and pieces of two different records to create new rhythms and beats.
Looping Looping is a small section of sound (audio sample) that has been edited seamlessly to repeat continuously. This is the foundation of beat juggling. 4 Bar Looping Exercises (4 Beats, 2 Beats and 1 Beat) Start by cueing up two copies of the same song. Play Song A for one bar (4 beats: 1-2-3-4). Drop Song B for one bar (4 beats: 1-2-3-4). As Song B is playing, rewind Song A and cue to the first beat. Drop Song A, for only two beats (1-2) and rewind Song B. Drop Song B for 2 beats (1-2) and rewind Song A. Repeat this process four more times but for only one beat per song. o These steps make up a total of four bars. Repeat the entire four bar exercise as many times as you can in a row.
