How I Created the Time Lapse Effect Within Our Documentary

Step 1
Firstly we found objects that connote academia and creativity and then we created the words CREATIVE and ACADEMIC with those objects on top of large sheets of paper. We then took photographs of each letter gradually building up the words.

Step 2
I then uploaded all the images individually into Adobe Photoshop and used the clone tool to smooth out the edges of the paper to create the impression that the pieces of paper where a large background image.

The lines on the paper have been smoothed out.

Step 3
I then changed the brightness and contrast on all the images so they would naturally flow together.
