The need for our first-ever Diocesan Capital Campaign For Christ Forever is prompted by two main factors.

One is vibrant growth. With an estimated 1.2 million Catholics, the Diocese comprises more than 40% of Orange Countys total county population and is now the U.S.s 10th largest diocese. Financial resources are essential to enable our Diocese, parishes and centers to continue supporting the journey of faith, spirituality and ministry of our expanding Catholic flock. The second involves immediate opportunities such as our Future Christ Cathedral to create powerful unifiers to connect, share and reinvigorate the missionary spirit of our faithful. This aligns with Pope Benedict XVIs call to a new era of evangelization, moving the Church and its disciples to a renewed proclamation of hope and salvation. Our For Christ Forever Capital Campaign will be a key first step in our collective response to meet our Dioceses needs. The goal is to raise more than $100 million in pledges to support five key priorities:
