Teaching Sequence of the Activity Set- up and arrangement of materials and equipment: Book, children on carpet I will share the book as Im reading the story and I will ask and answer questions to the children. I will point out different scenes and colors and shapes. I will ask the children, what would he/she do if they had a dog and their mom told them he couldnt sleep with them? I will continue to tell the story as I ask questions. What will the children do during the activity? The children will interact and read along. The children will talk about dogs and what they like to do. The children will talk about the parents and why cant the dog sleep I the house. What changes would I make in space and/ or materials used for this activity? I would like to use a dog as a puppet. I would like to spend more time helping the children understand about why some animals cant sleep inside the house. I will continue to read this story that way the children would understand it more. Did the activity stress the child development skills you had planned? The children learned about responsibility and feelings. The children learned about dogs and how parents feel. What changes would I make in preparation or presentation of this activity? I would add a puppet the next time and ask more questions. Would you do this activity again? I would do this activity again. I will ask more questions and add puppets in to make the story more interesting.
