TEACHING EXPERIENCE Field Experience I- Fifth Grade: Little Axe Elementary School, Little Axe, OK, Fall 2010. Observed quality discovery learning style lessons in an urban setting. Worked with an inspiring mentor teacher who provided beneficial advice and resources. Field Experience II- First Grade: McKinley Elementary School, Norman, OK. Participated in literacy tutoring and observed lessons focused on literacy in first grade in an urban setting. Field Experience III- Fourth Grade: Jefferson Elementary School, Norman, OK. Spent pre-internship semester in the fourth grade classroom two days a week during the entire semester. Conducted weekly tutoring sessions, developed and implemented lessons across the curriculum, and participated in professional development opportunities. Participant of OU Relay for Life: Participated in an over night walk on the North Oval of the University of Oklahoma to benefit cancer patients. Raised $135 towards the cause. Participant of OU Big Event: Participated yearly in the University of Oklahoma Big event.
