Geo-biodiversitatea Parcului Naional Cheile Bicazului - Hma Studii integrate geologice, geografice, biologice pentru mbogirea patrimoniului natural

al parcului i extinderea limitelor acestuia

Parcul Naional Cheile Bicazului-Hma (PNCB-H) a fost constituit n baza Legii nr. 5/2000 i are o suprafa de 6575 ha. Administraia parcului depinde de Direcia Silvic Miercurea Ciuc din cadrul Regiei Naionale a Pdurilor Romsilva conform Contractului de Administrare nr. 736 / M.M.G.A. / 22.05.2004. Parcul prezint un deosebit interes tiinific i incluznd cteva rezervaii naturale cunoscute: Cheile Bicazului, Lacul Rou, Cheile ugului, Avenul Lica, masivul Hmaul Mare - Piatra Singuratic i Hmaul Negru.

Descriere proiect

Parcul prezint un deosebit interes tiinific i include i cateva rezervatii naturale cunoscute: Cheile Bicazului, Lacul Rou, Cheile ugului, Avenul Lica, masivul Hmaul Mare Piatra Singuratic i Hmaul Negru. Pe lng diversitatea geomorfologic i peisagistic se adaug o mare diversitate biologic generat de marea varietate a condiiilor geoclimatice i manifestat prin conservarea n stare slbatic a unor habitate naturale ale unor specii de plante i animale, dar i o diversitate geologic care, dei relativ bine cunoscut la nivel tiinific nu este suficient de bine evideniat n patrimoniul natural al

Parcului. Astfel, pe lng structura geologic n pnze a regiunii, exist situri paleontologice de valoare mondial, din care cercettori de mare valoare au descris faune jurasice extraordinare, iar cercetri mai noi au permis extinderea ariilor fosilifere mult n afara limitelor parcului. Nu n ultim instan diversitatea etnologic a locuitorilor regiunii este insuficient evideniat. Administraia Parcului a procedat la adoptarea normelor de semnalizare turistic folosite n Europa, prin montarea de panouri cu informaii despre starea traseelor turistice, revizuite periodic, editarea de pliante pentru dezvoltarea ecoturismului i de asemenea pentru creterea atractivitii zonei, i fiecare traseu turistic are un pachet suplimentar de informaii legate de comunitile locale, de relief, flor, faun. Ghizii locali specializai ncearc sa ofere turitilor i alte informaii auxiliare, ntruct exist trasee specializate pe observaii asupra florei i faunei. Scopul urmrit de cercetarea propus presupune urmtoarele: actualizarea cunoaterii strii fizice i administrative a siturilor/ariilor protejate cunoscute; alctuirea de colecii stiinifice - geologice i biologice - din materialul cercetat; realizarea unei hri de detaliu cu amplasarea tuturor siturilor cercetate; propunerea extinderii limitelor parcului pentru a cuprinde situri de interes tiinific dar i turistic;

Naional Cheile Bicazului Hma.

4. Identificarea sau obinerea statutului de rezervaie tiinific specializat i marcarea ei pe hri i n teren, pentru a stabili i aplica msuri de protecie.

Rezultate concrete estimate la sfritul proiectului:

Stabilirea zonelor de protecie tiinific i a zonelor de strict protecie, n acord cu legislaia Romniei n domeniul ariilor protejate i cu prevederile legislaie europene i pentru realizarea unor hri specializate cu amplasarea tuturor siturilor cercetate i propunerea extinderii limitelor parcului pentru a cuprinde noi situri de importan tiinific deosebit sunt necesare: Lmurirea aspectului legal a unor asemenea zone, eventual conturarea i marcarea lor pe hri i n teren pentru putea stabili i aplica msuri specifice de protecie; Catalogul siturilor din PNCB-H continand si harta cu amplasarea tuturor siturilor cercetate; Harta complex a parcului cu propunerea de extindere pentru a cuprinde noi situri de importan tiinific deosebit. Documentatii pentru situri de importanta stiintifica. Rezultate ale primei faze: n etapa I, s-a fcut documentare pentru actualizarea cunoaterii strii fizice i administrative a siturilor/ariilor protejate cunoscute n aria PNCB-H, ca i asupra altor componente ale patrimoniului natural i cultural n aria PNCB-H i colectare material paleontologic i petro-mineralogic pentru studiu. In cadrul etapei s-a inceput realizarea colectiilor geologice (paleontologice si petrografice) ale PNCB-H si IGR, UB, UAIC; totodata, s-a inceput realizarea Arhivei geologice a PNCB-H.

Rezultate faza a IV-a: n scopul elaborrii hrii patrimoniului natural prezent n PNCB-H i limitrof acestuia, s-au analizat documentaiile (i hrile) existente la aceast dat.

Project Description
The theme and the specific objectives set out the proposed project falls within the Programme here in April, research director 3. Environment, objective 3.3., the "protection and ecological reconstruction of critical areas and conservation of protected areas. Within this overall objective, the approach is allocated to research provided clear goals of the program, codified 3.3.1. respectively, 3.3.4., which refers to "biological diversity, geological and ecological locally, regionally and nationally (characterization, identification of factors and pressure control, identify the functions of components of biological diversity, geological and environmental and social assessment economic) "and" the scientific, design and development of protected areas Natura 2000 in Romania, and adaptive management plans that guarantee the conservation of biological diversity and ecological.

PNCB-H is located in the mountains Hma (or Hghima), the central group of the Eastern Carpathians, Harghita and Neamt counties the area. Park has a great scientific interest and nature reserves include some known: Bicaz Gorge, Lacul Rou, ugu Gorge, Lica Pothole, Hmaul Mare Massif - Piatra Singuratic Mts. and Hmaul Negru Mountain. In addition to geo-morphological diversity and landscape plus a large biological diversity generated by the wide variety of conditions manifested geo-climatic and preservation of wild natural habitat of species of plants and animals, but also a geological diversity, although relatively well known scientific level is not sufficiently highlighted in the Park's natural heritage. As well as the geological structure of the napped region is valuable paleontological sites worldwide, of which researchers have

described the value of outstanding Jurassic fauna and research new fossils allowed extending beyond the park boundaries. Not ultimately ethnological diversity of the inhabitants of the region is insufficiently emphasized.

Park Administration has made adoption of tourist signaling used in Europe by installing panels with information about the status of tourist routes, regularly reviewed, publishing leaflets for eco-tourism development and also to increase the attractiveness of the area, and each has an additional tourist trail information about local communities, relief, flora, fauna. Specialized local guides attempt to provide tourists and other auxiliary information, since there are special routes on observations on flora and fauna.

The aim of the proposed research involves the following:

updating knowledge in physical and administrative sites / protected areas known; Compilation of scientific collections - the geological and biological - of the material sought; Detailed mapping of the location of all sites investigated; The proposal to extend the park boundaries includes sites of scientific interest but also tourism; Also, in line with Romanian legislation in protected areas and the relevant EU regulations, the project aims to establish: Scientifiques protection zones; Strict protection zones; Clear delineation of geological reserves, paleobotany, mineralogical, morphological documentation as complete and comprehensive studies.

Thus the specific objectives of the project will be: Update knowledge of the physical and administrative sites / protected areas known; scientific documentation and research complex geological, geographical and biological Park area and the formation of scientific collections of material researched; clear delineation of geological, paleontological, mineralogical, geo-morphological, biological, documentation and studies on forestry Complex; Establishment of scientific protection and establishment of strict protection zones, in line with Romanian legislation in protected areas and with the relevant EU Set specialized maps, the location of all sites investigated and the proposed extension of the park boundaries to include new sites of special scientific importance; The project is based on collaboration between national institutions of research and development (INCD) and state universities (UNIS) will perform integrated studies Research in the National Park area Bks Hma. Will also use the recommendations of international organizations as IUCN and PROGEO and consistent approach to integration in Natura 2000.

Implementation plan
The need for better scientific documentation Bks National Park - Hasmas resulting from the need to offer the public consumer well-founded scientific culture, and the need to educate the public knowledge of the geographical environment, geology, biology, forestry, atmospheric. Each specific objective of the project involves a series of research:

To update knowledge of the physical and administrative sites / protected areas known as H PNCB area needed these activities: 1. Physical verification of actual field of each site or each protected area known. 2. Checking administrative status of each site or each known protected areas. 3. Concrete proposals for better management of each site or each protected area known.

To achieve area documentaries and studies complex composition Park as scientific collections of material researched and to achieve a clear separation in the park or nature reserves multiple specialized (geological, paleontological, geomorphological, biological, forestry) will be made following research: 1. Specific documented scientific categories on the state of knowledge and shaping all important aspects that define a national park in geological, geographic, landscape, biology, forestry, ethnographic, etc.. 2. Understand complex scientific studies and outline of known or new sites in the areas specified above. 3. Scientific will create collections with material from the park area. 4. Identify or obtain specialized scientific reserve status and marking them on maps and land to establish and implement protective measures.

Concrete results expected at the end of the project:

Establishment of protection zones scientific and strict protection zones, in line with Romanian legislation in protected areas and the provisions of European legislation and to conduct specialized maps with location of all sites investigated and the proposed extension of the park boundaries to include new sites of scientific importance special need: clarifying the legal aspect of such areas, possibly shaping and marking them on maps and terrain to establish and implement appropriate protective measures; Sites Catalogue of PNCB-H with a map of location of all sites investigated; Complex map of the park with the proposed expansion to include new sites of special scientific importance; Documentation for the scientific sites.

Results of first phase:

In phase I was physical documentation for updating knowledge and administrative sites / protected areas in the area known PNCB-H, and on other components of natural and cultural heritage in the area PNCB-H and paleontological collecting material for mineralogical and petrography studies. Started checking on the field of real physical and administrative status of sites or protected areas known documentary on paleontological data in the area PNCB-H. Also, we began documenting the diversity of geological and paleontological region that integrates PNCB-H exposures research with marine fauna known from northern Jurassic the park, the research sites in the

northern area of the park and collection of material documenting the paleontological and environmental status area of protected areas PNCB-H.

Phase II results:
In the second stage geological mapping were conducted throughout the park area and Masters (palaeontology, petrography, mineralogy) on the perimeters of potential teams patrimony of all partners (separately or mixed teams). They surveyed the technical parameters (environmental) on geological hazards or water quality (and GeoEcoMar IGR) in the area of the park. With data collected from ground to first layout of thematic maps (geological, geomorphological, exposed slopes, slope), which also include targets for geological heritage (/ paleontological). Field studies led to the discovery of new paleontological sites (11) and other 15 sites targeted updating of documentation known. These findings lead to the idea that the region's potential has been exhausted, as an argument for greater depth studies in the region. Part of the studies has resulted in scientific papers and participation in scientific sessions (conferences) in the country or abroad, in part published or under publication. Some materials were used in making public presentations ran during some events like "National Parks Week (National Museum of Geology) and others. In its first implementation phase of geological collections (paleontology and petrography) of PNCB-H and IGR, UB UAIC, at the same time, we began carrying out geological Archive PNCB-H.

Phase III results:

In stage three mappings were achieved (detail), or field studies and laboratory tests, which were partly released in domestic or international scientific environment in some symposia (IGCP 506 - Symposium 8th, 9th NAPC Symposium, MAEGS 16th Symposium, etc.). Part of the materials analyzed were transformed into scientific work has been accepted for publication. Also in this stage, IGR collections, UAIC, UB and PNCB-HH-containing samples of PNCB were enriched with new materials, these materials have already entered the preparation, assessment and inventory. The collection PNCB-H (which contains about 400 samples to date) have been prepared, reviewed, inventoried and tagged 10 rock samples (lithotyps from Park) and 28 of ammonites from site F2 (Ghilco), which are displayed in windows made in the previous stage (spring seat Mures). In the mapping and field studies have succeeded detailing some major sites (those of Mount Ghilco - F1, F2, F3, F27, F28 and the Fagu Oltului Creek - F13, F14, F15 s) for which documentation will form the for the establishment of scientific reserves. All the mappings in this stage were found two sites, of which site is of exceptional importance F28 (both scientific and conservation of fossils mode). IGR mappings carried out by teams and still GeoEcoMar targeted or hydro-geological and geotechnical parameters, this year focusing on the Red Lake Basin area, in order to establish either the physic-chemical parameters of water are the dynamics / stability of slopes in the area, with this occasion were dotted some of threats to the environment in the region.

Fourth stage results:

Natural heritage in order to develop this map in PNCB-H and its adjacent, were analyzed documentation (and maps) available to date. They developed two models containing all protected areas (reserves, parks, SCI and SPA) and some of the sites analyzed so far in this project. Studies have targeted the major sites, which will be proposed as special protection areas (science) and for which complete documentation for background, a process which sought to begin this project. For F1 and F2 sites considered international scientific importance were also conducted two studies aimed at documenting their heritage (biostratigraphy and palaeontologicaly), the former being served at a National Symposium (7th Symposium SPR) and acceptance for publication. A study based on complex methods and investigating (Unconventional cathode-lightning or XRF, ST. Isotope), the Jurassic brachiopods of the Fagu Oltului Creek, aimed taphonomy deposit practically rebuild how these organisms lived and died far better 120 million years, this study form the basis for other new studies pale geographical pale ecological and documentation as well as some interesting promotional materials. Analysis of data on surface water basin Olt Gorges (including Red Lake) in the three partner study could lead to conclusions about their quality, revealing both the Olt river polluted areas (contamination with heavy metals - Balan) as and Red Lake (anthropogenic pollution). During this period have claimed five papers, three are already published two other accepted for publication. Attended four national or international conferences (in Romania) with some of the results. Made a presentation to PPS The biodiversity and geo-diversity of Bicaz Gorges Hasmas National Park, which ran from October in the National Museum of Geology and Research Fair 2009, on the IGR Info kiosk.
