This online article from MSNBC, a news company, was very helpful and gave me lots of general information to start my research. It helped me understand the beginnings of affirmative action and described the Executive Orders issued by Kennedy in detail. There was no bias for or against affirmative action.

"2014 Ivy League Admissions Statistics." The Ivy Coach. N.p., n.d. Web. 5 Dec. 2012. <http://theivycoach.com/2014-ivy-league-admissions-statistics/>. This website lists general as well as specific statistics about the admissions of multiple Ivy League colleges. It shows many graphs and gives many different categories of stats. I included these stats in my website. It is a credible source because it was founded by a college admissions expert, Bev Taylor.

This website sponsored by the State Legislatures is unbiased because it is bipartisan and supplied useful information about the arguments for and against affirmative action. It included the benefits and the negatives to affirmative action. One benefit is that it increases minority admission, and one negative is that it is outdated and causes reverse discrimination.

"Affirmative Action Timeline &mdash; Infoplease.com." Infoplease, n.d. Web. 3 Oct. 2012. <http://www.infoplease.com/spot/affirmativetimeline1.html>. This timeline gave information about multiple lawsuits on affirmative action such as the Bakke case and the Wygant case. It included dates of bans on affirmative action in certain states as well. Infoplease is a trusted database and is not biased.

"Brown v. Board of Education." ThinkQuest. Oracle Foundation, n.d. Web. 20 Feb. 2013. <http://library.thinkquest.org/J0112391/brown_v__board_of_education.htm>. This educational website for students by Oracle ThinkQuest provided details about the beginning of the Brown v. Board of Education case and Linda Brown. Facts about black schools and white schools were included.

"Brown vs. Board of Education." United States History. N.p., n.d. Web. 02 Dec. 2012. <http://www.u-s-history.com/pages/h2776.html>. This educational website had a summary of the Brown v. Board of Education but contained limited information. I didnt use some of the general information because I already had it from other sources. I used the information pertaining to the start of the Supreme Court case.

This document about the history of affirmative action gave many details on lawsuits about affirmative action. It included hard to find specific details. I used information on the Alan Bakke case and the Grutter v. Bollinger case.

Included was, Princeton sociologist, Thomas Espenshades study on SAT score point advantages. It also showed many statistics on college admissions.

"14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution." Library of Congress. N.p., n.d. Web. 4 Dec. 2012. <http://www.loc.gov/rr/program/bib/ourdocs/14thamendment.html>. This document described the 14th Amendment. It was a short overview, and there was not much, only one paragraph of information on the page. However, there were links to other articles about the 14th Amendment on the page.

Web. 02 Oct. 2012. <http://www.eric.ed.gov/PDFS/EJ682488.pdf>. This article supplied a huge amount of various information. It was extremely useful in learning about many parts of affirmative action. Many statistics were also included. The paper organized aspects of affirmative action in a list and analyzed and summarized them.

This University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law website page provided visuals as well as detailed accounts of all aspects of Brown v. Board. The page was filled with information and was helpful for my Desegregation page.

Mance, Ajuan. "Talking Points: Barack Obama on Affirmative Action." Black on Campus. N.p., 31 Oct. 2008. Web. 3 Dec. 2012. <http://blackoncampus.com/2008/10/31/talking-points-barack-obama-onaffirmative-action/>. This website/blog article was about President Barack Obamas opinion on affirmative action. There are quotes from Obama on affirmative action and the writers opinion on the bottom. The authors opinion was a bit against what Obama stated. I used the some quotes for my project.

This PBS website included a bounty of information and quotes about Plessy v. Ferguson. The decision of the Supreme Court, information about Homer Plessy, and laws at that time were included.

This was useful for finding opinions on Affirmative Action.

This educational website article included some information about the Bakke case. It provided a summary without much detail. It wasnt very useful and I barely got any information from it.

This online version of a SF Chronicle article provided information about the bans on affirmative action in many states. It also gave an update on the Texas affirmative action case.

"What Was Jim Crow?" Ferris State University. N.p., Sept. 2000. Web. 13 Nov. 2012. <http://www.ferris.edu/jimcrow/what.htm>. This website gave a list of Jim Crow laws and what they meant. It also gave a picture of how non-whites were treated by whites. It provided an abundance of useful information such as other ways people were mistreated.

Primary "American Wives." Old Magazine Articles. The Nation. N.p., n.d. Web. 13 Nov. 2012. <http://www.oldmagazinearticles.com/racist_antiasian_Immigration_Act_of_1924_legislation_pdf>. This online magazine article gave a small bit of information on the Anti-Asian Immigration Act. It was a short article about Asian wives not being able to come into the United States in 1924. It is from the newspaper, The Nation. "Brown v. Board of Education." Brown v. Board of Education. N.p., n.d. Web. 13 Nov. 2012.

<http://www.law.cornell.edu/supct/html/historics/USSC_CR_0349_0294_ZO.ht ml>. This was the opinion of the Supreme Court on the Brown v. Board of Education. There was lots of information on the ruling of the case. It is credible because it is from the Cornell Law School website.

This was Thomas Espenshades report on SAT point advantages on race. It gave me even more statistics and more details on his study. It also provided graphs to look at which helped me to understand the statistics better.

It used many quotes and also describes Clintons action about affirmative action. "Office of Planning & Analysis." UC Berkeley Enrollment Data. N.p., n.d. Web. 05 Dec. 2012. <http://opa.berkeley.edu/statistics/enrollmentdata.html>.

This website included data in a graph form on UC Berkeley enrollment by race. This information was very useful as it gave percentages of races the of students enrolled. I used the information to compare Ivy League admissions with the Universities of California.

Web. 3 Oct. 2012. <http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=16337441>. This was a radio transcript that was broadcasted on NPR on an Affirmative action debate in New York. Also included were the highlights of the debate, as well as the opinions at the end. It aired in November 2007.
