Christopher Dumler Charged with Forcible Sodomy - Plead down to Sexual Battery
Refuses to resign as the Scottsville District Representative on the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors, despite over 1000 people demanding so,including:
Albemarle Board of Supervisors (voted 5-0 to remove Dumler) Albemarle County Democratic Party Charlottesville City Democratic Party S.A.R.A. - Sexual Assault Resource Agency Albemarle County School Board Members
In January 2013, Dumler pleaded guilty to misdemeanor sexual battery. His guilty plea was part of a requested agreement with prosecutors to drop a felony forcible sodomy charge and not pursue charges for two additional alleged victims of sexual assault. This plea deal effectively silenced these 2 other women. Dumler insists that he still has work to do on the Board for his Scottsville constituents and refuses to acknowledge that those constituents want him to resign. He insists on playing the politics card, blaming the other side for attacking him. He wants everyone, including his victims, to move on. Dumler insists he is innocent, despite his guilty plea.
