BMTC sets up change counters

As commuters were tendering currency notes in the Rs. 100, Rs. 500 and Rs. 1,000 denomination to buy tickets in Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation buses and making it difficult for them, the BMTC, to help conductors have sufficient coins with them while issuing tickets, has opened four change counters at Kempegowda bus station and two counters at Shivajinagar bus station. These counters will work in two shifts between 6 a.m. and 2 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. Conductors can avail themselves of coins between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m.
