Happy ending for Tess

During May, a man and woman attended Broadmeadows Magistrates Court to answer to animal cruelty charges in relation to the neglect of a Rottweiler co-owned by the pair at Sunbury. In July 2011, Inspectors seized the dog, Tess, which was found in an emaciated condition with a severe, untreated wound on its leg. Due to the severity of the wound, RSPCA vets had to perform urgent surgery to amputate the leg. RSPCA Inspectors negotiated the surrender of the dog to the RSPCA who has since received intensive rehabilitation and been re-homed by RSPCA Shelter staff. The man was QuickTime and a convicted and placed on a 12-month community corrections TIFF (Uncompressed) decompressor are needed to see this picture. order with 150 hours of unpaid community work. He was ordered to pay $932 Court costs and was disqualified from being the person in charge of an animal for 12 months. The woman was convicted and fined $950 and ordered to pay $932 Court costs. She was also disqualified from being the person in charge of an animal for 12 months. Note one animal generates two charges I wonder if the dog should have been offered a second opinion on the amputation !!!
