Breeder Farm Application

Thank you for participating in the Arkansas Bred Wether goat program. By signing up as a
ABWP goat breeder you are participating in encouraging the youth of Arkansas, promoting
the marketability Arkansas bred wether goats, and taking a significant step forward in the
future of your breeding program.

How will this program benefit you as a farmer?

1. Only breeders registered in ABWP can sell wether goats eligible for entry in the program
entries. (This increases the demand for your product.)
2. Your farm information will be posted on the ABWP web site as one of the select breeders
in the state to offer ABWs.
(This means youth wanting to participate in the ABWP Jackpot Shows must come to
one of you.)
3. Breeders of the jackpot winners will receive a Breeder Cup Award and be featured on the
front page of the ABWP website.
4. Advertising and bragging rights for the placement of your wethers will boost future sales.

Why will the youth of Arkansas want to participate?

1. We will be running the program with credibility which seeks to maintain a level playing
field.
2. Steps are in place to control cheating.
3. A sizable jackpot is guaranteed and has the potential to exceed $1000.00

What we ask of you as a AWB breeder?

1. Maintain the honor and integrity the program is based on by entering only Arkansas bred
stock from your farm.
2. Have your wethers processed by an official field agent before they are weaned.
3. Be sure to have you entries tagged, registered, tipped/disbudded, and wethered before
leaving your farm.

Remember: When you have made your selections for entry in the AWB program make
the call to get a field agent out to your farm to get them tagged and collected while
they are still nursing!!!

By signing below and paying the $25.00 non-refundable fee you, as a breeder, are agreeing
to abide by the guidelines laid out by the ABWP . These include, but are not limited to the
following:

1. Enter only animals born and raised in the state of Arkansas and on your farm
in particular.
2. Agree that the AWB board has final say when a farm is found in violation of
any of the guidelines. The farm in question will be banned from further participation in any
AWBP event. (see appeal process if any disagreements arise)
3. Behave in a honorable, mature, and businesslike manor while conducting
business with other,s or taking part in any AWB function.
