Term 1 Geography Town Design

What services do people need? What spaces do people need? Where are these spaces and services located? Why are they put in that location?
You task for the next three weeks is to use your knowledge of what the people who live in the towns and cities need to design your own town. You will draw a birds-eye view map of your town. Your map must show that you have considered where each place, space and function would best be located and you must have reasons for placing them where you do. The Process 1. Make a list of the essential places, spaces and services your town needs 2. Think about where these would best be placed and note your reasons next to the list of places, spaces and services you made in step 1. 3. Sketch the birds-eye view outlines on the map 4. Outline and label your map using a black fine liner 5. Shade and colour your map 6. Upload your finished map and list with reasons to your website Due Date Tuesday Week 11 (last week of Term 1)
