During Assessment: Write down who participates in the story with the animal predictions throughout the book. After the lesson, I will have children play a game with the animal print outs. a. Today, I will be reading, I Went Walking, by Sue Williams. During the book I want each of you to predict what the child sees during her walk. After the book, as a class, we will put the animals in the order the child saw them in. Last, I will take each of you into a small group at the table to do a small activity. As I read the story ask the class, What did she see? and have the students predict the animals that the child sees next. After the story is over, choose seven volunteers to help hold the animals to recall the story with the class. Have the class, as a whole, put the animals in order. After the recalling lesson, use the Velcro board of animals to help the students remember the animals in the story.

8. Accommodations: The only accommodation is to make sure I am reading loud enough for all the students to hear. 9. References: The common core standards
