RMHS Interact

Local Volunteer Week April 15-21st

One in six Americans face hunger issues.
Food insecurity exists in every county in America. In 2011, 18 million households were not able to secure enough food to meet their needs.

Interact is collecting canned goods for CEDA, a local food pantry

RMHS seminar classes will collect canned food items as part of Rotary Interacts extravaCANza campaign. Interact is hoping to collect over 1,000 pounds of food for a local food pantry. The food reserves that were collected over the holidays are now depleted and pantries are in desperate need of supplies. Students and staff are encouraged to bring in canned food and place the food in bags in seminars. Students can also bring food to the library and use the food to pay for fines. For each dollar owed, students are to bring in one can. RMHS Interact is supported by Rolling Meadows and Arlington Heights Rotary clubs. Please see Mrs. Senteno or Mrs. Pribyl if you would like to get involved with any of the volunteer events during this week. Staff and students welcome!
