    EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

    HSCIs first state-of-the-art manufacturing unit was set up at Greater Noida, U.P in 1997. The green-field project is spread across 150 acres of land (over 6, 00,000 sq. m.). The annual capacity of this facility is 100,000 units. The comp anys second manufacturing facility is in Tapukara, Rajasthan which was inaugurated in 2008. This facility is spread over 600 acres and will have an initial production capacity of 60,000 units per annum. Basically in TKR plant, press parts & power train parts are getting manufactured for different model like HONDA CITY, JAZZ, CIVIC, upcoming model BRIO and are finally dispatched to GNU for the assembly. In absence of necessary checking standards during packing of press parts in transportation trolleys before dispatch, there are the possibilities of damages like scratches, flange bend, dents on the part along with damages on the trolley. With respect to the mentioned problem, this project concentrate on preparing the operation processing standards of press parts packing in transportation trolleys for the three HONDA models CITY, JAZZ & upcoming BRIO. While establishing the checking standards, mainly observation method has been followed in three stagesa) Observing the trolley in dismantled condition without having any press parts in it b) Observing the trolley in assembled condition while parts of the trolleys are attached to it c) Observing the trolley while the press parts are loaded into it for the dispatch Following the operation processing standards of press parts packing in transportation trolleys while maintaining the safety norms, chances of damages like scratches, dents on parts can be depleted to a significant level and delivery of parts can be made ideal & accurate. For extra prudence, spring lock system along with wire locking can be incorporated in each of the transportation trolleys to avoid the play in the parts attached to the trolley
