I am extremely determined to be enrolled in Binghamton Universitys prominent and highly-rated School of Management program.

I intend on avidly pursuing a career in fashion merchandising, so my most advantageous route would be to major in Marketing and prepare myself in all facets that the industry requires. I firmly believe that I will be well-prepared and a valuable asset to the business world with a background in the School of Management, and I am firm in my beliefs that I would not only be able to handle the rigor of the courses the school provides, I would persevere. This is due to the fact that I have already taken several business courses in high school as well as through Molloy College, and have excelled in them. I received an A+ in Business Law I and Marketing. These classes truly sparked an interest and passion within me, which is why it is dire that I pursue a major in S.O.M. I was an officer in my high schools Future Business Leaders of America (F.B.L.A.) club and had the opportunity to peruse Wall Street and speak to financial analysts. Additionally, I assisted in the organization of a trip to the New York Stock Exchange (N.Y.S.E.) where I walked the floor and learned about the business world from an inside glimpse not many can say they have had access to. As an integral part of F.B.L.A, a simulated business world, I participated in various fundraising programs as well as community service events. Prior to college, I have taken classes that specialize in Excel and typing. For my Marketing class, I participated in a simulated interview with the marketing management team of the New York Islanders hockey team at the Nassau Coliseum, where I learned of the interpersonal business and global management skills one must develop to be successful. I am certain that with admission into Binghamtons School of Management, I will be at a rare advantage to be able to build upon my foundation as a young business woman, and will add to the respectable reputation the school already possesses by maintaining myself as a hardworking, successful, determined student. By the end of the Fall 2010 semester, as a freshman I

will have sophomore standing with 54 credits, many of which are derived from business-related courses.
