SCIENCE VS RELIGION

Religion is the eternal force with which mankind binds itself with spirituality. Science , on the contrary, is an overwhelming knowledge based on reasonable proofs and explanation. In our todays world, one comes across several circumstances which more or less is a kind conflict between science and religion. In my view, science and religion can never go hand in hand. Each one of them will try to topple one another. One such phenomenon which is very popular in our place especially in rural areas is that person suffering from leprosy is considered to be some sorts of curse by their deity. So he/she suffering from leprosy is not allowed to move outside, mingling with outsiders is strictly forbidden. So going to hospital for curing it is simply out of question. Their family members firmly believe that visiting hospital and counselling by a doctor would only worsened the curse. They believed the curse can be cured by impressing their deity and for that they performed various religious practices and witch craftsmanship. The result for all this is quite obvious. Similarly I myself have come across cases of exorcism. In this case Im not sure if science is right or religion. The main reasons for all these is due to ignorances, lack of education and deep rooted beliefs in superstition.
