Objective 1: After doing research students will share a piece of music from their chosen country, play it for the class, and share the instruments and/or voice types demonstrated, explain how this music is used in their country, and share their opinion of it using correct expressive language. Objective 2: After doing research about their chosen country students will write a brief description of the music, listing instruments and/or voice types used, how it is

used in their country, and their opinion with reasons as to why/why not they like the music using with less than 5 grammatical errors and less than 3 spelling errors. Objective 3: After listening to student presentations students will describe how the music sounds to them using at least two descriptive words/adjectives and then answer reflective questions with less than 3 grammatical errors. -I expect students to know that there are many different types of music from other countries around the world. -I expect students to be able to explain and write about music from their chosen country. -I expect students to reflect, in writing, and answer questions about music from other students' countries by answering the following questions 1. Does this music sound like music you have heard on the radio? Why or why not? 2. What do you like or dislike about this music? 3. What kinds of instruments/voices do you hear? Describe the sound.
