Purpose: To stabilize AO Hawk and regain the peoples confidence in the security of their government allowing the conditions

for the restoration of AZ authority. Key Tasks: -Neutralize SAPA and criminal activities -Secure international border between AH and AZ -Support the internal defense and development of AZ -Establish and maintain local government Tactical Problem: The tactical problem for 1/3 BCT is to neutralize and increasingly violent SAPA and criminal element in AO Hawk while creating the conditions necessary to transition operational control to the AZ govt./military. Restore confidence/support in AZ govt. by assisting initial infrastructure assessment and repair and re-establish rule of law. End State: SAPA forces and criminal elements are no longer active within the major population centers. The international borders are secured. US Forces continue reconstruction phase. AZ forces are able to establish local authority with the aid of US forces.
