The lecture El aprendizaje a lo largo de la vida: realizacin personal, ciudadana activa, integracin social y solidaridad intergeneracional (Lifelong learning: personal fulfilment, active citizenship and intergenerational solidarity, given by Dr. Sacramento Pinazo, tenured university professor of the department of Psychology, intends to be a preview of the " Universitat dels Majors ". The first course will begin in October 2013 and ends in June 2014. The Universitat dels Majors in Massamagrell comes from a strong commitment of Massamagrell Municipal Council towards active ageing and Lifelong learning, with the support of University of Valencia (Office of the Vice-Principal for Territorial Projection and Participation). This initiative will provide the keys to understanding the life itself and the aging process while helping to understand better the environment that we live in. This is a programme for people over 50 years old with desires to learn. it is no necessary to have examinations and there are not any admission tests. Previous studies are not required . Only reading and writing abilities are required. There are many benefits of programme Universitat dels Majors: Sensitise the society at large about the value of active ageing, stress and appreciate the valuable contribution the elderly make to society; promote the active aging, the intergenerational solidarity, the vitality and dignity of all the people, to do more to mobilise the potential of older people, to make it possible to lead an independent life; to stimulate debate and exchange of information to develop mutual learning; to promote activities that serve in a combat against age discrimination and to overcome the related stereotypes . 15 de may de 2013 19:00 to 21:00.
