- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Clear explanations, interesting examples covering many languages of the world, diagram upon diagram--it's decent. It decently explains the horrible scholastic phenomenon that is generative syntax. Your theory doesn't work? Maybe that's because a noun is a verb! Maybe the word at the end of the sentence is at the beginning of the sentence! Maybe black is white.
