Abstract
Arabs before Islam were shepharob except in Mecca whose people
were merchants while in Yemama, Yathrib, Ta'if and Yemen were
working in agriculture. Islam appeared in the civilized environment of
Mecca. It's instructions were basically civilized. The prophet, after his
migration to Mecca, managed to establish the nation. When the prophet
died the principle of Jihad was deeply rooted. During the time of the
Rashidi Caliphate, the Arabs moved to sham, Iraq, Egypt and Persia to
fight for the sake of Allah and to spread Islam and to direct Arabs to
Jihad. The Caliphate did not allow the Arabs to practice Agriculture and
were asked to stay in the rural areas least the mix with the people of the
occupied territories which will influence their morale. The Rashidi
Caliphate isolated Arabs in the cities in Iraq, Sham and Egypt. The
Divans were written and an allowance was given to the soldiers so that
they will devote their time for Jihad which was the prime task of the
motion at that time.
The research dealt with the negative outlook to agriculture and
agrarians and the dislike of staying in the villages on the bases of
prophet's sayings and the instructions of the Caliphate However, this look
is improved because of Arabs inclination to live in the rural areas and the
spread of Islam among the farmers. The Arabs, as a result went out of
there is, lotion and mixed with the people of the occupied countries. A
new type of villages appeared, namely the complex village which has the
characteristic of the Islamic city. The village became part of the nation
and not isolated from it as it was before.
