    SUMMARY
    It was an opportunity for me to be a part of NHPC for 6 weeks as it a reknowned PSU working at a very large scale and conferred as MINI RATNA Category-I by Government of India in 2008-09. It mainly deals in producing electricity through water with the help of creating dams all over India and under it there are many national hydroelectricity projects that are under construction and will be completed in coming year. On the very first day I got the introduction of the company through our Chief Training Officer of HR Dept. From next day we went to the Finance Department where I met with Senior Finance Manager Ms. Deepti Kharbanda, she shared her expertise with me and gave an overview of the Financial Manageemnt System of the company and I felt it quite interesting. So I have decided to prepare my report on this topic and Mr. Naveen Ranjan,DFM (Deputy Finance Manager) gave me permission to work on this topic as he assigned me as my mentor by SFM. The concerned members of finance department helps me in understanding every activity of the Finance Department that includes Banking, Procurement & control services and Domestic Finance System . I was very inquisitive during my training as I felt it interesting to knowing about the departments working. I am very thankful to NHPC for giving me permission to do my internship in their organisation.
