AIR POLLUTANT INDEX MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (APIMS), Air Pollutant Index Management System (APIMS) is a widely used commercial

-off-the shelf (COTS) air quality management solution. It is flexible for use at any installation. Users of APIMS vary from federal to commercial sectors. OBJECTIVE To create a world-class integrated environmental, safety and occupational health "Systems of Systems". ROLE APIMS helps in storing facility-specific data elements and providing roll-up capabilities managing all data necessary to demonstrate at an enterprise level. APIMS is capable of compliance with federal, state and local 'air quality regulations, including National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAPs) and the numerous pending Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emission requirements. Department of Environment (DOE) Malaysia is also using APIMS pertaining Air Pollutant Index (API) in Malaysia. APIMS has the flexibility required to calculate and track emissions, according to any regulatory requirement that a user may be subject to. RESPONSIBILITIES Some of the key features contained within APIMS are: Identification of stewarded data elements including the source of the data. Standardization of business practices across an environmental, safety and occupational health (ESOH) community. Establishes a uniform baseline of data across an enterprise. Regulatory document and inspection management. Greenhouse gas Inventory ready. APIMS is widely used because it can avoid redundant incorrect data collection efforts. It can also provide data retention, increase forecasting capabilities and improve reporting accuracy for the users.
