SinglePhase Multifunction Meter Software

For use with Single Phase Digital Multifunction Meter

Requirements:
1. RS232 Cable
2. One serial Port, or Serial to USB converter
3. Windows XP or higher
4. Atleast 256 MB RAM on computer
5. Dot Net runtime, redistributable package(free from Microsoft website, also
included in CD)
6. Disk space usage of software: less than 10 MB
Figure 1: There are 5 tabs on the top, to select different pages. Setup is required to select
a COM port , and start the meter. In case your computer does not have a Serial port, you
can use a Serial to USB converter which generates a virtual COM port on your
Desktop/Laptop.
Figure 2: The display page is what is normally used. All values can be seen
simultaneously. Clicking on the Report button invokes a window to generate report , and
save the data.
The Current value is showing in red above, because it is out of the Set Point range
selected in the “Set Point / Alarm” tab.
Figure 3 : Alarm Facility is Enables. Current Channel , only the upper limit is
selected

Figure 4: In the frequency channel, both upper and lower limits are selected
Figure 5: the data Logger can be enables, giving the file. The period for data
measurement can also be selected.

Figure 6: The date time(according to computer clock), and all the parameters are saved in
comma separated format in the location specified in Figure-5 above i..e “abc.txt”.These
can be viewed/processed more easily in Excel.
