DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES - Responsible for the organization and implementation of first year students social events, who were living in Otonabee College - Responsible for gathering information and concerns brought forward from all on residence peers - Responsible for voicing any concerns brought forward, and for properly representing the student body - Held a seat on a university CASSC (Colleges and Student Services Committee), specifically the Housing and Food Committee - Responsible for the organization and implementation of all social events for concurrent education students - Responsible for effectively observing and co-planning with the Senior Social Representative - Responsible for engaging all off residence members of college in on residence, and all college events - Responsible for the organization and implementation off residence students social events, who were living outside of Otonabee College - Responsible for gathering information and concerns brought forward from all off residence peers - Responsible for voicing any concerns brought forward, and for properly representing the student body - Responsible for the organization and implementation of all social events for concurrent education students - Responsible for effectively observing, co-planning and supervising the Junior Social Representative - Responsible for integrating and orienting new first year students to Trent University and the City of Peterborough - Organized and Implemented several events and social gatherings geared specifically to first year university students living off residence - Oversaw the overall functionality and effectiveness of the legislative body of the cabinet - Advised and organized respective representation of Otonabee College in all University sanctioned committees - Supervised the organization and implementation of all social events in Otonabee College as well as members with in the Vice-Presidents umbrella group

- Responsible for the complete organization of Introductory Seminar Week (Orientation Week) at Otonabee College - Organized seven days of events and activities for new incoming first year students - Organized educational events aiding in the orientation of first year students to the University setting - Supervised thirty staff members for a period of two weeks - Acted as a mediator when conflicts arouse between staff -Coordinated with other co-chairs from other colleges in campus - Coordinated events and happenings with several different stake holders including Otonabee College Office, Student Affairs and the Housing Department, as well as other Colleges - Interacted with and successfully communicated with a multitude of local and national companies - Responsible for choosing the new College Principal for Otonabee College - Reviewed and discussed of all CV documentation - Attended several meetings with important university personnel - Sat on an interview panel for position candidates - Responsible for representing the 4th year Concurrent Education students - Created a monthly newsletter - Responsible for coordinating social events alongside the other year representative - Responsible for overseeing the overall safety of students living within my specific community - Responsible for implementing educational programs for students within my community - Attended weekly team meetings with 7 colleagues - Collaborated with several student groups and other residence communities to provide enriching and rewarding first year experiences for students within my community - Acted as a mediator between roommates when conflicts arouse - Acted as a tutor - Acted as an academic advisor - Provided detailed information to students about the services available within the local and university community - Worked to facilitate a family-like community to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable living arrangement for all students - Responsible for the internal affairs of the council as well as overseeing any human rights concerns within the council
