No prior knowledge is needed as the lesson is intended to be an introduction to the topic. However, students knowledge will be assessed during the early part of the lesson.

2. RATIONALE FOR THE SELECTION & STRUCTURING OF SUBJECT MATTER AND FOR THE METHODOLOGY

CNC Machinery is important in maintaining the highest standards of industrial production. We will not have CNC Machines in this lesson. We

will show video clips of CNC Machines. We will have worksheets to help the students identify and understand the basic principles of CNC Machines.
3. AIMS

To give a basic understanding of what CNC Machines are and how they operate. To outline the benefits of using the latest IT technologies to improve production quality and cut down on production time. To show the effects that the integration of IT in the production line management had in the improvement of safety in the work place.
