The PowerPoint showed the findings and data of studies proving the benefit of a media specialists leadership role on improving academic achievement. This project is an essential piece in helping administrators understand the role of a media specialist. As a program administrator, instructional partner, and leader, the Schema project is designed as an integral diagram that shows the relevance and psychology of student learning in the media center. It is a great illustration that shows how a media specialist improves student achievement. Creating a 50+ media collection log allowed me to review and familiarize myself with new media and books as a teacher, information specialist, and program administrator. As the role of a teacher and instructional partner, this activity modeled the importance of using literature for exploration and making connections through teaching a lesson using the book, The Dot. M.Ed./Add-On/Initial Certification in School Library Media Students in P-12 Schools (Instructional Partner, Information Specialist, Teacher) provided me with the understanding and importance of pathfinders. As the role of a teacher, information specialist, and instructional partner, I learned Pathfinders can be used in media centers or built for special units for student exploration. As a teacher and program administrator, I created the Dewey Decimal Classification PowerPoint to help students better understand the system and find materials in the library. This PPT is a great resource for introducing students during orientation to the DDC system in the school media center. The Dewey training aid was created to help students better understand the DDC system. As a teacher and program administrator, it would be a great resource at the circulation desk in the media center. As a program administrator and teacher, I designed an LMC orientation PPT is a great resource to use at the beginning of the year. This PPT could be used to acclimate new students to the basics of the media center. Creating a mock media center web page was a very useful experience. I, as a program administrator and information specialist, was able to see the benefits of a LMC web page and the different options for creating one.

7477 Digital Storytelling Kit and Video (Information Specialist, Program Administrator, Teacher) 6466 Two-Year Media Program (Program Administrator, Teacher)

The digital storytelling kit and video was a comprehensive project that allowed me, as an information specialist, teacher, and program administrator, to create a resource kit for a specific unit of study. The project correlated with state standards and modeled the necessity of creating and using resource kits. The two-year media program was created to show the usefulness of a planned media program. As a teacher and program administrator, I prepared the program to include detailed lessons (with state standards), timeline, promotional ideas for activities, and resources. Developing the OPAC quick start guide helped me, as the program administrator and information specialist, to understand the features in the OPAC (Destiny) system. It included the basic how-tos for using the automation system. Creating the OPAC tutorial as a program administrator, information specialist, teacher, instructional partner, and leader, was a great way to develop my own understanding of the OPAC system. The tutorial includes a comprehensive video to using the automation system that could be shared at an in-service for teachers and administrators or students. As a leader, teacher, program administrator and instructional partner,

Three-year budget developed based on interview with media specialist. Creating the budget allowed me to act as a leader and program administrator to research and rationalize the fund allocations based on needs and vision within the media center. The policy and procedures handbook was constructed throughout several courses to show the foundations of a media center. It models my intent as a leader and program administrator with a manual with day-to-day operations and procedures for any person using the media center. Using the year-long professional development agenda, I designed a blog that modeled an in-service module. This assignment showed me, as a program administrator and leader, the importance of using in-service modules to present professional development or student material. As a program administrator, leader, and information specialist, I created a Podcast with personal getting-to-knowyou information. It is a great introduction to the beginning of a school

Researching the network components within a school and creating a diagram of the computer network system was extremely valuable to me as an information specialist and leader. It allowed me to see the components within a network and how they communicate together. As the role of program administrator and leader, I developed a PR tip sheet for a selected group of stakeholders. This assignment showed me the importance of effective communication among all stakeholders. As a leader and program administrator, I developed the OPAC training aid to be a great way to familiarize stakeholders with the OPAC system. It would be a great resource to help recall and perform a task using the OPAC system. Based on interview with media specialist, I developed a media center floor plan showing improved organization and rationale. This development allowed me, as a leader, program administrator and instructional partner, to compare the situational aspect of a media centers floor plan and how improving the setting can help improve the media program. M.Ed./Add-On/Initial Certification in School Library Media Students in P-12 Schools Analysis (Leader, Instructional Partner, Program Administrator) helped me to act as a leader, program administrator and instructional partner to prepare a report of findings based on collected data from a media center. The findings showed me the importance of proper weeding and collection development for a well-managed facility and to build a collection that meets the needs of all students. Using the data collected in the collection analysis assignment, I created two materials orders: one that reflected the data collected and the other met other circulation needs of the media center. Accompanying the order was a narrative justification. This assignment allowed me, as an instruction partner and program administrator, to see first-hand the importance of allocating funds appropriately and based on needs within the media center. As an instructional partner and information specialist, I created a log of reference reviews based on various books, media, and websites for all reference sources. The content of the logs would be very useful in building a reference collection in a school media center. Reviewing a web-based program with the tech tip assignment helped me, as an information specialist and teacher; I found several free web-based programs that would work great in a media center

This assignment showed me the importance of advertising new literature in the library to promote reading and circulation. Using one theme, I acted as the teacher, program administrator, and leader to create a school wide media program that addresses all levels and subject areas with special populations of the school in mind. This program could be used throughout the year in a media program to show the successful ways to adopt a year-long theme to promote special projects.
