ORIGIN : OM POWERFUL MANTRA IN SWAMIMALAI TEMPLE Swami Mali Temple is dedicated to LORD MURGA. Lord Murga imprisoned Brahma God for the ignorance of the meaning of OM mantra. In order the release the Brahma God from imprisonment Lord Shiva seeked the meaning of OM mantra from Lord Murga. Lord Murga made a condition to Shiva, to recognize him as guru and acceptance of OM Mantra as devoted disciple before explaining the meaning of OM mantra. Thus, Swami Mali temple was created for the explanation of the meaning of OM to Lord Shiva and for the recognition of Murga as Guru.
