1.2: Predict and Classify – Manual Input for Single Year for Single Site

1. Data to be Provided/Specified
a) Environmental Variable Data

The EV data is to be manually input with the required values as follows:

b) Observed Index Data

The Observed Index data is to be manually input with the required values as follows:

c) Settings for the Run

The settings for the run match the settings in the Default Settings file (except for changing the
Run Name if desired).

d) Bias Data for the Run

The Bias data for the run matches the bias data in the file SEPA_Bias.XML which is set up as
the Default Bias file - see end of example for actual content.

e) Limits for the Run

The Limits for the run match the Limits data in the file New_Limits.XML which is set up as the
Default Limits file - see end of example for actual content.

1. Start Run

Click on Create a New Run in the Run Menu:

2. Specify Run Type

Click on Predict and Classify


3. Continue to Schedule Run

As there are no files to be uploaded click on Continue

6. Go t o Amend Data options

Click on Amend Data


7. Go to Manually Enter EVs Page

Click on View/Add/Edit Environmental Variables:

8. Enter Required Site Id and Year

Enter Site Id as Camel Pencarrow Br. and Year as 2007 and then click on Go:
9. Enter EV Data

Enter the required EV data and click on Apply:

10. Return to Schedule Run

Click on the Schedule Run ‘breadcrumb’:


11. Go to Manually Enter Observed Index Values Page

Click on Amend Data followed by View/Add/Edit Observed and expected data:

Click on Add Another


12. Enter Required Site Id and Year

Enter Site Id as Camel Pencarrow Br. and Year as 2007 and then click on Go:

13. Enter Observed Index Data

Enter the required Observed Index data and click on Apply (note that expected values can be
left blank as the run is not Classify Only):
14. Return to Schedule Run

Click on the Schedule Run ‘breadcrumb’:

15. Amend Run Name

Click on Settings
Amend Run Name to ‘P&C – Example 2’ and click on Apply.

16. Schedule Run

As default Settings (apart from Run Name), Bias and Limits are being used there is no need to
amend any other data. Therefore, simply click on Schedule Run:
17. Wait for Run to Finish

Once the run is finished a green tick will be displayed at the end of the run entry:

18. View Results

Same actions as for Example 1.
