This is to ensure that parents/guardians as well as students are kept informed on what is happening in our classroom.

Recap Musical Notation

Western Musical Eras

This week in Music Appreciation we are learning about the different Musical Eras. This unit we are focusing on the following musical terms: Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Chamber Music, Madrigal, Concerto, Opera, Blues.

Reminders to Students

Expose yourself to the different Musical eras. Get creative and compose your own compositions! Music History makes up what we listen to today!!

Upcoming Events
Classroom Open House Tuesday, August 10th, 7:30 P.M. Ice Cream Social Friday, September 1st, 5 P.M. Field Trip to the Symphony On September 28th,2013 Ms. Perdues Music Appreciation class will be taking a field trip to the Orlando Symphony Orchestra. Students will be exposed to concertos and symphonies from the Classical Musical Era.

Reminders to Parents
Encourage students to listen to other musical eras. Sign permission slip for our trip to the Symphony on September 28, 2013 If you are able to we still need more volunteers to chaperon our trip to the Symphony.
