La parter, n jurul acestei sli centrale, sunt construite patru spaii care funcionau ca saloane de primire (sufragerii). Etajul nti pstreaz n linii mari aceeai dispunere a spaiilor de la parter, accesul fcndu-se pe o scar n spiral. Etajul al doilea a fost destinat probabil, dormitoarelor, iar mansarda unor spaii de servicii. n Lista Monumentelor Istorice, casa figureaz ca aparinnd Elenei Lupescu, marea iubire a Regelui Carol al II-lea, dar n mod suspect orice legtur cu aceast doamn a fost tears din istorie.

nvluit mereu n mister, Elena Magda Lupescu sau Duduia, a rmas n istorie datorit relaiei tumultoase de amor cu regele Carol al II-lea. S-a nscut la Iai, ca fiic a lui Nicolae Lupescu, farmacist evreu convertit la cretinismul de rit ortodox i a Elizei Falk, care a optat la rndu-i pentru religia cretin, ns de rit apusean. Declarat la natere catolic, Elena Lupescu i-a definitivat studiile la Bucureti, ntr-un aezmnt catolic, Diaconesele, bine cunoscut protipendadei capitalei. Frumoas n ochii celor puini, era un amestec ciudat de femeie fatal, domnioar i curtezan. Era ncpnat dar bun la suflet, era elegant, avea pielea alb i prul rocat, uneori blond, o femeie prea modern pentru timpul su. Se spunea despre ea c era deosebit i c avea darul de a aduce energie pozitiv celor din jur. Pictur de rou pentru Regele Carol al II lea sau chipul pcatului ncoronat cu uvie roii pentru Regina Maria, Elena Lupescu a rmas un personaj enigmatic chiar i pentru contemporanii ei.
