God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And man, tempted by Satan, made the most polluted use of darkness, assuming that no ones watching. A torch is not just a source of light that shows you to way. It is but a spark of that divine fire, a representation of the universal colossal energy that endeavors to bring to light every act and thought that likes to stay in the darkness, knowing that existing deep down within the heart of the actors and thinkers is the awareness about what is right and what is wrong. What can one say when the trust of a little girl is thwarted by a familiar face, who burns in lust and preys upon his unsuspecting victim? What can one say when the lady of the house is treated like a doormat or, worse still, a punching bag, a libido-gratifying machine, or the epitome of slavery? What can one say when a woman is made to repent for having been born a woman through eveteasing, molestation, rape, and female feticide or infanticide? What can one say when callousness and corruption stunt the very growth of civilization? In every one of us a Light burns A Light that pushes us to be better than what we are A Light that pushes us towards perfection The Light is the cause of happiness, love, and bliss The Light is only contrasted by the Darkness A Darkness which resides within each of us The Darkness brings us down And it seeks to extinguish the Light The Darkness causes hatred, envy, and chaos Where the Light is success, the Darkness is failure Where the Light is freedom, the Darkness is imprisonment Where the Light is satisfaction, the Darkness is remorse Where the Light is forgiveness, the Darkness is blame Where the Light is good, the Darkness is evil Where the Light is God, the Darkness is Satan And where the Light is serenity, the Darkness is frustration And inside each of us the battle between Light and Darkness rages Everything in life breathes both the Light and the Dark Every action and every reaction in life is ruled by this clash Every injustice and every act of morality Every feeling of guilt and every sense of forgiveness Both the Light and Darkness resides in each of us The question is: Which are you allowing to control your life?
