Essay Communication is a really important part of our human existence. We grow up as social beings that enter into society by a communication process which begins at home and then continues at school and while working. The problem is that in last few decades, television, which provides a different way of entertainment, has reduced how much and how we communicate with friends and family and additionally affected the communication process that made us social human beings. First, a few years ago when people had some free time they could only spend it with friends. Practice sports, studying or hanging out are just a few of them. All this activities involve communication and socialization. But nowadays all these activities are replaced by watching television, an activity that rarely provides the benefits of a social activity or promote later communication between you and your friends. When it comes to family, all members have different tastes. This and the fact that usually there are 2 or more TVs at home has produced that every single member of the family ends up watching a different program at a different space. Activities like dining together or have a little talk about everyones experiences during the day are replaced by kids watching cartoons upstairs while parents are watching a soap opera. This leaves no spaces for socializing and communication. Television is a great invent. It provides us all types of content from funny cartoons to documentaries, which is a good thing. The problem begins when this content, desired by everyone in a social group, is preferred than social activities, phenomenon which is responsible for the destruction of all the times and spaces for communication and social development, affecting relationships between friends, a couple or a family.
