VISIT 1 Light, Shadow and the Moving Image

This engaging session looks at the science of light and the moving image. The day will include a shadow puppet workshop or 35mm film activity. Curriculum links: Science (Light and Shadow), Drama, History, Art

VISIT 2 History of Film

Focusing on the history of film, cinema and the local area, the day includes an optical toy handling session and craft activity plus a mime and slapstick workshop. Curriculum links: History, Literacy, Drama

All visits include a 30 minute screening, backstage tour of the cinema and an interactive trail.
Visits last 3 hours (approx) and are priced at 200 for 30 children. We are happy to tailor workshops to your specific needs, please contact us if you have any particular requirements for screenings or workshops.

FILM SCREENINGS
Every term we screen a variety of films for schools, from classics to foreign language and new releases. Ticket prices are kept low, many cost just 1 per child! All films include an introductory talk and teaching resource detailing follow-up activities and curriculum links.
