Current Employment: Virginia Commonwealth University- Richmond, VA Voice and Speech for the Actor (I)- Focus on vocal health while encouraging vocal versatility to explore the full range of expression in the human voice uniquely combining Estill Voice Training, Linklater, and Alexander technique. Voice and Speech for the Actor (II)- Using the Knight/Thompson speech work, students experiment with the physical actions that produce sound and the specificity that is available to the actor through use of the International Phonetic Alphabet and apply these skills to acquiring the Neutral/General American Dialect. Advanced Voice and Speech for the Actor: Shakespeare- Course uses techniques established by Patsy Rodenburg and Kristin Linklater to uncover the depth of meaning in Shakespeares text. Accents and Dialects for the Actor- Course utilizes many techniques of accent and dialect acquisition for the actor including use of visual, aural, and kinesthetic exercises. Introduction to Drama- Students read and analyze a play a week as an introduction to the Contemporary American Theatre canon, but also critical thinking and communication skills. Effective Speech- Introduction to public speaking and presentation skills. Speech for the Business and the Professions- Course applies public speaking and presentation skills to prepare students for mock interviews in the field of their choice. Craniosacral Therapy- JoAnne Granke O.T.
