As I transition from Principal of AFNORTH MS/HS to the position of Principal of Lakenheath Middle School in the UK and I reflect on my past two years at this fabulous school, first as the Unit School principal, and then as the MS/HS principal, I realize that my success in supporting and promoting teaching and learning was not done alone. So, I would like to thank the JFC Brunssum and Schinnen commands and parents who freely volunteered their time to support our programs throughout these past two years. To the most important people at AFNORTH, our fabulous students, continue to study, to participate in all of the extracurricular and international activities available to you, and especiallyenjoy the unique educational experience which AFNORTH has to offer. Thank you to my International counterparts from the Canadian, British, and German sections for the collegiality in working towards developing and offering the many diverse international programs for our students. Teachers, counselors, and support staff, thank you for your hard work and dedication to supporting and promoting the success of our students. Last but not least, a special thank you to my awesome Assistant Principal, Dr. Doris Brodie, who worked side by side with me to promote the best possible programs for our students. Please give a warm welcome to the new incoming principal from Lakenheath Middle School, Ms. Mary Zimmerman-Bayer, as she continues the tradition of promoting the success of to students at AFNORTH. Sincerely, Dr. Gloria Hajat
