Call to Adventure
Each year Athens has to sacrifice 14 youths to get devoured by the minotaur Theseus wants to go to slay the minotaur to end this

Crossing the Threshold


He wants to meet his real parents The black ship came which meant it was time to sacrifice 7 boys and 7 girls to the Minotaur Theseus went to prove he was a hero and slay the Minotaur

Helpers
Ariadne, who said she wanted to help Theseus slay the Minotaur, gave him a ball of string to help him in the Labyrinth.

Supreme Ordeal
Gets sacrificed to the minotaur finds minotaur sleeping

kills him with dagger

walks out of labyrinth with the help of string

The Journey Back


After defeating the Minotaur, Theseus eloped with Princess Ariadne. Before they left Theseus put holes in her father s (King Minos) ships so he could not pursue them.

The Journey Back Continued


Theseus soon abandoned the princess and left her on an island. He did this because he was either bewitched by a god, or he had fallen in love with Ariadnes sister Phaedra.

The Return Home

Theseus returns back home Athens. On the way home he forgot to change the color of the sail so his dad committed suicide.

The Gift to the World


He saved all the people in the future from having to go in the maze to try to defeat the Minotaur.

They were both Greek Heros They received gifts along their journeys that were useful They were both sent on a quest to kill, Medusa for Perseus and the Minotaur for Theseus
