    Dear Chairman Obey and Ranking Member Lewis,

    I am requesting funding for MTSU Aviation Safety and Human Factors Research
    Using Emerging Technologies in fiscal year 2010. The entity to receive funding for this
    project is Middle Tennessee State University, located at 1301 East Main Street,
    Murfreesboro, TN 37132. The funding would be used to provide best practices for safe
    implementation of new and emerging technologies included in aircraft and air traffic
    control systems for general aviation (GA) airports. I certify that neither I nor my spouse
    has any financial interest in this project.
