Retardation of development

This condition includes the retardation of standing, walking, and speaking, and retarded growth of hair and teeth. Maldevelopment of children in modern medicine can be treated by the following methods. Applications of hand therapy: Acupuncture therapy: At regular and extra acupoints: Location: Shousanli (L1 10), Hegu (LI 4) and Sifeng (EX-UE 10) acupoints. Method of manipulation: Bleeding therapy is applied at Sifeng (EX-UE 10); and routine acupuncture is applied at Shousanli (LI 10) and Hegu (LI 4) acupoints with weak stimulation, and needles not retained. At special acupoints beside the second metacarpal bone: Location: Heart, stomach, and kidney acupoints. Method of manipulation: The needles are inserted for 1.6 cm, but not retained.
