AR6112 ART STUDIO

INTRODUCTION: To enable a student to understand the basics of art, meaning of art and Architecture. To make the students understand the various representation mediums and techniques used to represent their views and ideas, the principles of design relationships. Students are trained to develop abstract and real compositions in drawings. Simultaneously workshop exercises involving real and abstract models, make them understand the spaces, forms and analysis of the compositions. AIM: To theoretically understand first the various elements of basic design relationships and principles and demonstrate the same through drawing exercises. To understand the workshop tools and equipments useful for model making and practically experiment with creative design ideas both in exterior and interior applications. To develop the presentation skills, representations and imaginative thinking in expressing their ideas or concept in architecture. Involving them in various which will help them in understanding the forms and shapes in perceiving them as space. Indulging them in exercises which help them in understanding the concepts and meaning of the architectural vocabulary. 1
