Hello, my name is Mrs. Annette Rodriguez. I am originally from Hatch, New Mexico. I have a bachelors degree in Special Education and a Masters degree in Elementary Education with a TESOL & Reading endorsement. This is my sixteenth year of teaching and I have experience teaching several different grade levels. This year has had a great start and the students are excited and eager to learn. I am very pleased to have your child in my classroom and am looking forward to helping your child have a successful year in 2nd & 3rd grade should you choose to enroll him/her in the Title I program. Title I Title I is a program that provides intensive support in reading, language arts and math skills. The goal of this program is to help your child achieve success in the regular education classroom. He/she will receive instruction in the Title I classroom for 30 minutes of Reading and 30 minutes of Math every day. Your child will track his/her progress with weekly progress monitoring, data folders and data walls to ensure that goals are being met. If your child makes sufficient progress, he/she may be exited out of Title I. In order for your child to participate in Title I, you must sign a permission form. A SAT meeting will be scheduled with Mr. Sedillo, our school counselor, to give you an opportunity to ask questions and obtain additional signatures.

Rewards for following the Classroom Constitution: Praise, stickers or small items from the treasure box. Consequences for not following the Classroom Constitution: First-A verbal warning will be given and/or the student removed to another seat. Second-The student will have a conference with Mrs. Rodriguez and possibly the regular education teacher. Third-The student will write a note describing his/her behavior to parents which will have to be signed by them as well as the regular education teacher. Fourth-Mrs. Rodriguez will complete an incident report form and contact parents.
