Is it ever right for one country to be involved in the internal affairs of another?

Yes Media coverage in China No Indonesians police terror find Media coverage in China

Interference of another country could potentially disrupt the national interest of another. People prefer to have an honest factual report on national events, so as to be provided with a sense of security that the government is efficient in handling different situations. False or flawed news coverage could break the confidence of the people towards the government. For example, Chinas stringent control on its news coverage on the Sichuan Earthquake has led to outrage among the citizens, as the inefficacy of the government is being covered up by national media. People have since turned to online news sources abroad for factual accounts of the situation. This provokes interference of media from other countries to provide the reports to Chinese citizens, in turn jeopardizing the reliability of the Chinese government. Hence the national interest of another country may be under threat.
