Students completed 3mins of walk/run at 3, 6, 9, 12, 15km/hr HR recorded at end of each interval Data compared using Google docs

Google Docs + Garmin GPS

@ChrisDelaneyAU

2. Using video recording as performance feedback

1. Students take turns video recording each other performing an action, like for example, throwing a free throw shot in basketball. 2. Each student then has the opportunity to analyze and discuss the form of the other players and themselves.

@davidwees

3. Media MP3, Phones, cameras

1. Using video or media recorder to record performance. 2. Used to evaluate or reflect on performance or effects of performance 3. Reflection and logs can be recorded and saved. 4. Bluetooth transfer of data -quick and easy 5. Data is specific for individuals

Analysis of performance can occur with evidence.

4. Exergaming and Interactive Fitness

1. Exergames (video games with a physical aspect) have differing applications, most are focused towards PA 2. Exergaming needsappropriate and plannedimplementationfor PE classes 3. Exergaming can be combined with traditional PE 4. This technology can be used to engage hard to reach pupils 5. The addition of exergaming in PErequires extra prep 6. Students can be used as mentors to help with the extra workload and overcome many technical issues of exergaming Furtherreading :http://pecentral.org/activegaming/

5. PE and PDH Technology usage

PE PEc iPhone app - Cricket Coach Uses split screen technology. Great for comparing pupils technique against each other or themselves. Has a drawing tool to. PDH jogtheweb.com - Build a web quest for your class. Great for guiding students through specific webpages to look for relevant content to enhance their learning. Example of jogtheweb use. http://t.co/aXce3nZ @jammuir

6. Pedometers in the Classroom

Pedometers can be an excellent tool for students to see how much they have moved during their physical education lesson. As with HR monitors, they can set personal targets for potential improvement in each lesson. This can be used to evaluate student's performance within a practical session as well as in lifestyle factors sessions. Learners could participate in a healthy lifestyle project involving these. These could also be linked to HR monitors identified in the first slide and could lead to discussions about HR in relation to work-rate. @jbhands

7. Podcast
Use thepodcast to 'flip' your class by presenting information before a lesson and discussing it when in the class. Use the podcast to allow students to review information covered before taking a test. Use the podcast to extend your more able students by allowing them to present materials above and beyond what is covered in class. Allows for peer review also. Use your podcast to allow teachers around the world to share your idea.@carmelhealth

8. Instant Replays
Use the mobile app "BaM Video Delay" or "Live Video Delay" - Easily create a replay for your classroom - Perfect for discrete skills eg Gymnastics elements, field events etc

9. QR Codes
Using QR codes to enhance learning; Example for learning: - Place QR codes on a poster within the gymnasium or stadium. Your students can analyse on the spot video of correct skill technique for a desired outcome. Example of Learning: - Allow students to create posters with audio explanations of their researched content. The students create interactive posters, an example of this could be their explanation of the circulatory system. Create a QR Code at www.qrstuff.com @lukednewell

10. Exercise Stories

Using the website www. storybird.com, students are to develop a story showcasing a person whom has limited involvement in exercise. Within the story they need to include reasons why people should be active and healthy. Great prompt for discussion of health concepts

11. The FoodSwitch App

Using the FoodSwitch App to compare nutritional content of packaged foods by scanning the products barcode. Students can discover healthy alternatives and plan nutritionally balanced meals.

18.Pinterest for your #PhysEd Program

Collect resources, videos, websites on your own pinboard. Pinterest presents your resources & information in a visually appealing way and you can organise your boards any way you like. All you need to do is sign up for an account (You can even link it to your Twitter of Facebook) and then add the "Pin it" button to your Bookmarks Bar. Anytime you stumble across a website, video, picture, resource that you think will be beneficial to your program then simply click "Pin It" and choose which pinboard you wish to add it to. 21.The collaborative Dropbox

#PEGeeks Set up by @MrBpeteacher for PE teachers around the world to share resources. Similar to thePEBible in that it is a must have for any PE teacher/coach. #PEGeeks This will not be the be all to end all list of the shared Dropbox folders out there, they are the folders that I have contributed to and used. However, hopefully it will inspire you to collaborate with other educators through Dropbox to share all our good practice on show every day around the world. I would encourage you to contribute to these folders as well as use resources. No matter how small, someone will be inspired by your work/ideas. If you contact the owner of each folder they can add you so that each folder appears within your Dropbox account. Luc Therrien Twitter: @luctherrien2 Email: luc.therrien@dsfm.mb.ca

22. QR codes for differentiation

QR codes provide a new tool to assist students in their independent learning. Allow students to access various lev of skill, in for example gymnastics, using QR codes to prov them with a video which explains and demonstrates the technique.

24. QR code Treasure Hunt

A cool variation to the traditional treasure hunt is to use QR codes in a treasure hunt around your school. When just using written questions a wire-less campus is not a must, but you do need to check if your QR code reader allows for this. This website creates all the QR codes in posters for you: http://www.classtools.net/QR/ A good QR code reader is Qreader from Mr Robbo.

25. iMovie
Movie on your iPod or iPad allows for easy to create and userfriendly videos. I use this to provide parents with short infoirmational movies about our unit. It gives them a clear picture of what we are actually doing in class and what their children are learning. It is also an effective reflection tool for MS/HS students to create a short movie with text about their understanding and performance in a unit. A movie is made in just a few clicks. iMovie - iTunes - $4.99

joostremke@gmail.com www.peteam.weebly.com @rlangendonck @jllangendonck

26. Flipped Classroom

Use video instructional videos to prepare the students for the lesson to come, in example the rules of the game. It gives the challenged student the chance to view it over and over again whilst for the able student it will just be a quick refresher of the game to come.

Also useful for students who wait for their turn in a game.
